The Pavilion on Northbourne is the perfect wedding venue for couples who want a ceremony space with an incredible amount of greenery, without the hike out to the bush.
The great thing about the Pavilion on Northbourne is that it wraps up having a getting ready space, a reception space, and a ceremony space all in one. I’ve talked before about how having a stress-free day will mean that you’ll have a much more enjoyable day. The Pavilion on Northbourne is the perfect solution if you’re looking for an ‘all-in-one-solution’ which rocks!
Chris and Emma got in touch with me because they were looking for a photographer who could roll with the fun of the day and capture the moments as they came.
If I had to use three words to describe Chris and Emma, it would be fun, bubbly, and smiley. Honestly, I don’t think I ever saw these two without a smile over their face the whole day. You can tell that these two have such a special connection in the way they bounce off each other’s words.
Chris and Emma were really keen to have a bit of a nature-based couples session away from the main reception area. This meant that I needed to find a space near the Pavilion on Northbourne, which would provide a great backdrop, while not suggesting that they had to drive 2 hours in the Namadgi for the perfect spot.
I found that Mount Majura was the perfect spot for this. Mount Majura has a fantastic walking trail, and because of how well it is looked after, it has a considerable variation in nature-based backdrops, without being too scarce or too dense.
Seeing Chris and Emma again was like seeing old mates. They have this excellent and comfortable vibe that can make anyone feel welcome, and chatting to them on their wedding day made this exceptional. Starting off the day with Chris and the boys getting ready was a blast, especially when they wanted to get an impromptu game of Smash Bros going.
Equally, when I caught up with Emma, she was her bubbly happy self as usual, just with a few extra nerves, and lots of tasty cheese and treats. I love seeing an excellent grazing platter at a getting ready spot.
There were so many moments throughout the day which were excellent, although I’d have to say the highlights had the best man act as the signing table for Chris and Emma at the ceremony and the moment when the guys decided to chase Chris with sticks when we went out to Mount Majura Nature Reserve.
