Buried deep in the mountains of the Namadgi National Park is one of Canberra’s hidden gems; Gibralter Falls. This stunning little peak is something special, with a huge waterfall and a rockscape perfect for rock-hopping and exploring…with caution.

Such a big part of the sessions I design is selecting a location that really encapsulates what people represent and love. Katie and Amber wanted to go for Gibralter Falls to cover an epic location with an amazing backdrop. It really has to be seen in person just to get a scope of how grand Gibralter Falls really is!

These two beautiful souls wanted to celebrate their engagement with an amazing engagement session at the very top of Gibraltar Falls, and we all had so much fun capturing these images.

What’s more, Katie had a rather devious idea to surprise Amber with the colour-run holi powder which is popular with getting people completely soaked in neon colour! I absolutely love having colour bombs, smoke grenades and anything that can spark out colour on one of my sessions, and I also believe that everyone involved needs to have a care of making sure that everything is environmentally friendly. Coming from a background in Wildlife Management, this is especially important to myself.

Just as Amber thought the session was over, we lured her over to a log to pretend that Katie had another surprise for her. Well, she did! A fistful of colour! The perfect way to end a session!

Thank you Katie and Amber, and bring on the Wedding next March!
